Objective: I was hired to manage the deployment of Honda’s Manufacturing Data Reporting System (MDRS) in Honda’s factories worldwide, starting with the Marysville, OH plant. MDRS was developed offshore by InfoSys.
Challenge: Though MDRS was tested by the vendor and certified by Honda for deployment, the software failed performance tests. This changed my objective from software deployment to remediation.
How I responded to the challenge: I pivoted the team quickly from deployment to remediation, engaging InfoSys in the effort, then certification and performance tested the system for deployment.
