Initial project objective: Initiate a project to replace McGraw-Hill’s aging Product Data Hub (PDH) using Oracle Fusion technology.
Challenge: New technology, short contract, offshore development partner, large and complicated endeavor, mission critical legacy system.
How I met this challenge: I hit the ground running, engaged stakeholders, built trust, engaged Oracle’s Fusion early adopter program, learned enough about Oracle Fusion to lead the team and hone my noise/smoke filters, prepared materials for executive funding approval, secured funding, and proceeded with initiation and planning. Once the project was planned and moving forward, I turned it over to my client to complete execution.
